Obasanjo Pays Homage To New Ooni Of Ife

The new Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, was visited at Ile-Ife by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the ex-president of Nigeria on Wednesday, October 28.
Former president Obasanjo was at Ile-Ife on Wednesday, October 28, to pay tribute to the newly crowned Ooni of Ife.

The former president’s courtesy visit coincided with the presentation of the new monarch to his people.

During the visit, Obasanjo congratulated the new king and wished him success as he mounts the throne of his ancestors.

The new Ooni made a triumphant entry into Ife on Wednesday, October 28. This was the first time the newly crowned king had set foot in the town since he was pronounced by the Osun state government.
