According to the news from Sweden, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has bought a church in Stockholm for approximately £8.5 million.
The source Aftonbladet reports that Ibrahimovic’s purchase appears not to be a whim, nor a wacky investment, but a move towards settling down somewhere once he’s concluded his football playing career. The Telegraph adds that a house that was once fit for the worship of a deity is evidently somewhere Ibrahimovic could feel comfortable.
The 34-year-old says that he would prefer to live in Stockholm when he retires.
The PSG striker said: “It is much bigger, Stockholm. There are more options and it is easier to move. It feels more international. The fact that I’ve lived abroad a lot [means] I must have [an] international sense.”
He also stressed: “For the sake of my children, I want to live in Sweden. I want them to learn the Swedish tradition. They have lived abroad all the time.”
Fastighetsvärlden (‘Real Estate World’) says that the Ibra’s property is only two blocks from the
promenade, in Östermalm district of Stockholm.
The Swede was signed by PSG in 2012. He has scored 82 goals in 98 appearances for the club.
The PSG striker has also played for Malmo FF, Ajax, Juventus, Barcelona, Inter and Milan.
For his career totally, Zlatan has scored 347 goals in 629 games.
