According to reports, there have always been communal issues between a Yoruba dominated Share and Tsaragi since the 90s. This recent attack on the community reportedly started after a disagreement over the felling of some trees at the UMCA school on Share land. This allegedly led the Tsaragi people to attack their victims with machetes, rods and guns.
