Nollywood actor turned politician, Desmond Elliott has implored Nigerians to be understanding with his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) as it tries to change the country.
Elliot, who engaged in a conversation with one of his followers over the sad state of amenities in Lagos State, said he feels the pains Nigerians feel too.
Visibly angry at the current administration, the follower called them ‘fantastically pathetic’ and went on to mention some of the things the government needed to provide.
Desmond Elliott replied in a series of tweets that the follower should exercise patience and be prayerful as things would get better soon. The actor also told another follower who joined in the conversation that he also feels the sting of the current terrible state of the economy and urged everyone to remain hopeful.
Desmond Eliot, who has starred in over two hundred films and a number of television shows and soap operas, won best supporting actor in a drama at the 2nd Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards and was nominated for best supporting actor at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
He was elected as a lawmaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere Constituency, in the April 11, 2015 Nigerian General Elections.
