Following reports that popular comedians AY and Basketmouth don’t see eye to eye, Basketmouth has denied that there is a rift between the both of them.
Speaking in a recent interview with Encomium, Basketmouth said, “It’s really all speculation. I maintain a good relationship with all my colleagues, and it’s really not feasible to feature every comedian on my shows. If that were the criteria, it would be fair to say I am not on talking terms with Gordons, Julius Agwu, Basorge, Seyi Law to mention a few, as they have not featured at my shows recently” he added.
He also shared his opinion on the recent ‘fracas’ that ensued between his colleagues Gordons and Helen Paul at the Port Harcourt edition of AY live.
He told Pulse TV “Honestly I don’t care. That’s the truth. I really don’t care. If they want to beat themselves on stage let them do it. I don’t care. I will just tell them ‘please, there are some things we don’t do in public space.’ They are both my friends. Helen is my baby, Gordons na my guy. So I would say sometimes egbon should do like egbon, aburo should do like aburo. Whatever transpired that they now brought out to the public they should have settled it…there’s nothing to it” he continued.
