Sad: Cultist Murder 20-Year-Old Boy In Asaba


Suspected cultists in Asaba have reportedly killed a 20-year old secondary school leaver identified as Isichei Paul.

The sad event took place on Tuesday, November 10 at Okwe quarters in Asaba, Delta state.

Daily Post reports that suspected cultists who had been on rampage in the area, murdered the 20-year-old.

Police spokesman, Charles Muka, confirmed the incident, saying: “Residents, who were interviewed, said they heard sound of gunshot, which made them scamper for safety.”

The police image-maker, said: “The police is however on top of the situation and we shall uncover
the group of the suspects and bring them to book.”

Sources say Paul was killed during a misunderstanding among the suspected cultists.

Investigations reveal that during the face-off, the victim was invited through a telephone call and was held hostage by the suspected cultists.

As the argument escalated, the suspects allegedly descended on the victim and inflicted deep wounds on him.

Not satisfied with the cuts, one of the suspected cultists reportedly shot Paul at close range, living him little or no chance of survival.

In recent times, there have been a spate of killings by cultists in Delta state. The Nigerian police command within the state has been toiling assiduously to see that the hoodlums cease from threatening the peace of the residents.

Police commissioner, Alkali Baba Usman, in a recent report said over 252-cultists have been arrested in Delta state. He said they will be prosecuted soon.
