Guardiola apologizes for putting pressure on Premier League managers


Bayern Munich manager, Pep Guardiola, has apologized for putting pressure on managers in England, following his announcement that he will be coaching in the Premier League next season.

The former Barcelona boss, is expected to join Manchester City this summer, after confirming he will not extend his contract with the Bundesliga champions.

Apart from City, Chelsea and Manchester United are exploring the possibility of making Guardiola their new coach.

Speaking to reporters at Bayern’s winter training camp in Qatar, he said: “I am sorry. Normally, in my career as a coach, as a player, I respect a lot my colleagues, so I am sorry. It wasn’t my intention.”

He also vowed to “fight until the last second to reach the best possible results” as the Bavarians seek
to defend their Bundesliga crown and challenge for the Champions League and DFB-Pokal.
