Before venturing into selecting the perfect wedding gown, you need to understand your body shape and the style that works for you. Wedding gowns are designed putting into consideration body shapes, height and sizes. Pick a gown that hides all your flaws, let me tip you off on some things you need to know before picking that gown.

For the hourglass or pear shape, going for the mermaid or trumpet gowns would really celebrate your curves. Just as the names imply, these gowns are fitted to your body and flows out from the knees.

So you are probably of the lesser height(*like me) and on this big day of yours, apart from the few inches your shoes going to add, you want to look taller and trimmed down in your wedding gown, the sheath or column gowns are the best bet for this. These have a slim and balanced fit close to the body as it is usually patterned with long lines that trims and elongates the body.

The A shaped wedding gowns have no marked waist but fitted bodice and flares down from the waist forming a A shape. They are perfect for all body types.
