Nigerian Army recovers ‘captured’ Armoured Personnel Carrier from Boko Haram

In continuation of the clearance operations of remnants of Boko Haram terrorists’ reported locations and hideouts by the military, troops of the 120 Task Force Battalion cleared the camp at Bulasari in Yobe State on Wednesday.

This is coming after clearing the Golgore camp on Tuesday.
During the operation, quite a number of the Boko Haram terrorists were killed, while one soldier sustained gunshot wound.

The solder’s condition is said to be stable.
He is currently being managed at Damaturu General Hospital, Yobe State.

One of the most significant aspects of the operation, according to the Nigerian Army, was the recovery of Nigerian Army Armoured Personnel Carrier earlier captured by the terrorists during an attack on Buni Yadi on July 9, 2015.

The APC was discovered at Golgore Riverline and it has since been evacuated.
The statement by the Nigerian Army, signed by its spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman, added: “This operation has further proven our commitment to rid our country of the menace of Boko Haram terrorists and other criminal elements in the society.”
