According to The Sun UK, the ‘Special One’ wants to rubbish the blues after December sacking and probably also for Trade Mark issues that nearly derailed his dream deal with Red Devils by making Manchester United great again.
The tabloid reports that “Mourinho, 53, is on a mission to show the Blues how wrong they were to get rid of him back in December.”
The former Stamford Bridge boss on Thursday finalised his three-year £60million deal to become Louis van Gaal’s successor and The Sun UK quotes a close friend of the Portuguese as saying that he means serious business against the London Blues next season.
“Jose is still very sore about the way things ended.
“And winning trophies with United is the best way to get back at those he feels betrayed him at Stamford Bridge.
“Jose will always love Chelsea the club and the fans but there is no love lost for those who were behind his sacking.
“Of course Jose has wanted the Manchester United job for a while and he knows what’s expected of him.
“But United are getting more than the best manager in the world. They’re getting Jose Mourinho with a massive point to prove,” the unnamed friend said.
It will be the first time Mourinho has gone head to head with the Blues in the Premier League — after two stints at the West London club.
And ending an Old Trafford title drought that dates back to 2013 is the absolute priority for the new United boss.
