HOW TO MAKE GOAT MEAT PEPPER SOUP

Its independence day today and what better time to prepare a hot, delicious and spicy goat meat pepper soup. The goat meat pepper soup is very popular and its often referred to as a street food because you can find it served at buka’s and joints around town. Like every other nigerian meal this is a delicacy that you prepare or chow down when you are feeling celebratory and as we are celebrating the 56th Anniversary of our Independence as a country we believe the goat meat pepper soup is the right meal for the occasion.


The distinct smell of this delicacy makes the stomach jump with excitement and the ingredients are one you can get in the market. The meal is prepared with the edible part of the goat, therefore the goat meat is one of the main ingredients, note that if you choose to go with parts that have chewy bones, its all the better, that way your mouth would be kept busy (Don’t concern yourself with those around you, simply enjoy your meal).


Below is the list of things that you would need to make this dish (If you don’t want the pepper soup mix you could always ask for fresh pepper soup ingredients in the market).


Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 Kg goat meat
  • 4 Tbs of pepper soup mix (you need a great one),
  • 3 Tbs of ground crayfish (optional),
  • 2 Goat meat seasoning cube,
  • 1 Tbs grounded pepper,
  • 1 Tsp Salt,
  • 4 cups of water.
